Clinics & Services
In addition to GP and Nurse consultations the Practice offer a range of clinics and health services:

Chronic Disease - we have a recall system whereby patients with chronic diseases including Asthma; COPD, Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease and Hypertension, will be invited to attend the appropriate clinic at the surgery.
Antenatal Care - when your pregnancy has been confirmed you should make an appointment to see the Midwife, these clinics are held on specific afternoons at the surgery.
Childhood Immunisations - NHS Immunisation Team run a weekly clinic for children and babies they can be reached on 01383-565456. Further information on childhood immunisations can be obtained from your Health Visitor or by visiting NHS Inform
Minor Surgery - a range of minor surgical procedures can be carried out on the premises. These appointments can be arranged after an initial consultation with a GP.
Contraception - a comprehensive range of services are available including contraceptive implant, coil fitting, Depo-Provera injection, contraceptive pill and morning after pill.
Cervical Smears - NHS have a central recall system for patients due their Cervical Smear. When you receive your letter an appointment can be arrange to have this done at the surgery.
Cryosurgery - warts and a variety of skin lesions can be treated by freezing. A bookable weekly clinic is available for this treatment.
When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and only call the surgery after sufficient time has elapsed.
A member of our Reception Team will contact you if the GP wishes you to make a follow-up appointment.
Please note due to patient confidentiality and data protection we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
When travelling abroad you may require vaccinations, we will carry out any vaccinations that are covered by the NHS. In the first instance please download and complete our please complete one form per person and return the completed forms to the Practice. These will be reviewed by our Practice Nurse, please note this must be completed at least 6 weeks before you intend to travel. If you are travelling at shorter notice you will have to consult a travel clinic.
Non NHS Services
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore have a fee attached. Examples include the following:
Medicals for employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV )
Insurance claim forms
Private sick notes
Completing reports for Companies/Solicitors
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scale. Our Reception Team will be happy to advise you further along with appointment availability.
